Hardigg offers a broad range of standard options for our Single Lid and Rackmount shipping cases. These elements, described below, allow you to adapt our cases to a wide variety of transit applications.
Airtight / Watertight Includes PRV (pressure relief valve) and gasketing hardware to safely maintain correct pressure differential. Manual release button is recessed below cover rim. Test pressure range is +/- 0.25 PSID (18 mb).
Card Holder
Metal holder for shipping-card riveted to the exterior of case. Two sizes: 2-3/8" x 5-3/8" (60 x 136 mm) and 4" x 6" (102 x 152 mm).
Casters
Caster mounting system enhances the bottom panel strength of rack cases, while providing the same button release convenience of the FastClip mounting plate system found on Hardigg's single-lid cases. Available in removable or fixed 3.5" or 5" wheel diameters. Includes four casters, two machined aircraft aluminum extrusions, and mounting hardware installed on the case bottom.
Custom Cushioning Systems To transport non-rackmountable equipment, we custom-design protective foam linings and inserts. Hardigg cushioning systems are available in polyethylene (firmer) and polyurethane (softer) foams. Antistatic versions are also available. This option is a major element in equipping double-lid cases used to transport workstations.

Edge Casters Set consists of (2) caster/ wheel housings, permanently installed into the edge of the case shell. This option is available on a select list of single lid case sizes.
Extra / Replacement Handles
90° stop metal handles are rated to sustain 150 lbs. of lift. Available in plastic, zinc-plate yellow-chromate, ROHS compliant silver zinc, or stainless steel.
Grab N' Roll Includes bumpers, telescoping handle and edge casters. (will add about 1 1/2" on the height and about 1" on the width. will add about 8lbs to weight of case).

FlangeMount Cases
Features a molded-in shelf to support your panel-mounted gear. Threaded (1/4-20, UNC-2B threads) inserts in the flange allow easy panel fastening. Options include an aluminum mounting panel as well as a hinged aluminum panel in the case lid.

Protects base of container from impact caused during transport via Fork Truck
Forklift Provisions / Skid Runners
Features fork lift skids mounted to base of container. Provides clearance for forklift
tines. Not available for all cases.
Front Labels To assure that lids are replaced in the proper orientation. A set of two "front" labels is affixed to the case, one on the midsection and one on the lid.
Hardware - Stainless Steel
Upgrade - Standard zinc-plated yellow chromate hardware
(catches, strikes, handles, hinges) is replaced by
stainless-steel (clear passivated finish).
Recommended for applications where standard zincplate
or zinc alloy finishes are not suitable, such as
excessive saltwater or chemical environments.
Hardware - Black Stainless Steel Passivated Finish Upgrade - Non-reflective hardware. Recommended for applications where the standard zinc-plate or zinc alloy finishes are unsuitable, such as excessive saltwater or chemical environments.
Hardware - Zinc Standard Hardware on most case sizes; suitable for most applications which excessive saltwater or chemical environments arer not an issue.
Hinged Lid
Features hinges and butterfly latches. Quick ship cases come standard with cable lid stay.
Humidity Indicator Indicates 20%, 30%, and 40% relative humidity ranges. Three-part face changes color when inside humidity exceeds the indicated level. As humidity decreases, the indicator resets for future use. Recommended for airtight cases only.

Handle with Care / Reusable Container
Lifting / Tie Down Rings Welded rings provide hoisting and tie-down attachment points with 2" (51 mm) diameter clearance for hooks. They're spring-loaded and pivot 180° . Available in plated steel or stainless steel.
Lockable Cable Catch
Allows the case to be padlocked shut. The cable is made of tamper resistant aircraft steel. Qty (2) required per lid, comes in a set of (4).
Lockable Padlock Hasp Allows the case to be padlocked shut. Cable is tamper-resistant aircraft steel. Order two per lid. (Padlock not included.)
Purge / Fill Valve
Manual pressure equalization or air relief. Furnished
in all brass, nickel plated. Recommended for use on
applications where fast relief or purging with inert gas
is required. Valve stem has internal threads, 5/16-32-
NS. Container installation hole is 9/16" diameter.
Recommended for use with the Fill Valve option.
Hardigg will establish best location to install valve on
the case.

Coupling Catches
Elastomeric devices to couple vertically stacked containers to prevent accidental tip over.
Dessicant Basket
Designed to hold MIL-D-3464 bagged desiccant. Each basket comes complete with spanner nut, washer and retained gasket. Hole through cover and flange are provided for safety wiring and inspector seal. Inside dimensions: 3.37 x 12". Outside dimensions: 4.5 dia x 12.75". Installation hole in container is 4.015" diameter. Also available in 7.75, 14.75 and 17.75" depths.

Leg Kit (Chair or Table)

Removable Rack Frame
The Rapid Rack option adds a simple Lock 'N Load quick-latch system and sliders to unlock the internal rack frame for smooth separation. Pulled like a drawer, the entire rack frame slides out completely for in-the-field usage and connection to other equipment or for easier cable installation. Available for Classic or SuperMAC Rack cases.

1/8" Wider Frame
Used when extra clearance is necessary, usually to accommodate slides. Requires slotted mounting holes in attaching bezel of equipment to be mounted.
Bottom Support Rails Two each support rails used to support equipment while installing heavy loads.
Adjustable Verticle Side Supports Two each 2.0 x 2.0 x 1/8" (51mm x 51mm x 3mm) aluminum-angle, vertically-adjustable support rails used to support equipment while installing heavy loads.
Adjustable Horizontal Side Supports Aluminum-angle, vertically-adjustable support rails used to support equipment while installing heavy loads.
Bezel Plate
Blank bezel plates in 16 gauge aluminum. Flanged for strength. Brushed black anodized finish. Available in 1U, 2U, 3U, and 4U heights. See our Rackmount Accessories page.

Rack Slides
These compact solid-bearing steel slides may be used to mount equipment directly into rack, or to mount drawers or shelves. Sold in pairs. Available in standard duty, 85 pound capacity.
Extended Load Kit
For extra-heavy loads. For rackmount cases with more than 170 lb. (77 Kg) of packaged equipment, sixteen elastomeric shock mounts are used instead of the standard eight. Vertical metal wall stiffeners are added to the case body to retain dimensional control of the two openings and ensure that the covers can easily go back on the case body and latch properly. Four delta lifting/tie-down rings are also installed to provide mechanical lift accessibility.
