Mobile 2U Rack and Laptop Workstation

The SKB 1SKB-iSF2U combines rack-mounted electronics and a laptop work area in one compact rolling case. This configuration is useful for mobile recording, audiovisual production, communications, control, testing, presentation, and field-support applications that require equipment to remain organized and accessible during transportation and operation.

The two-unit rack section provides approximately 3.5 inches of vertical mounting space and 11.25 inches between the front and rear rails. The available distance is approximately 12.25 inches from the front rail to the back lid and 12.75 inches from the rear rail to the front lid, providing additional clearance for compatible controls, connectors, cable bends, and other equipment projections.

Molded-in front and rear square rack rails are pre-installed with cage nuts for mounting compatible 19-inch rack equipment. The rear access door provides direct access to connections, power cables, and signal cables during setup, inspection, operation, and maintenance.

The upper section provides a 19 × 11-inch work surface for a compatible laptop. Eight adjustable rubber cleats can be positioned around the computer to help limit movement during transportation. Two cord pockets, each measuring approximately 7.73 × 1.67 × 1.93 inches, provide storage beneath the rack area for compatible cables and accessories.

The injection-molded shell is designed for impact-resistant, waterproof protection when the case is correctly closed and secured. Built-in quiet-glide wheels, a retractable pull handle, a low-profile carry handle, and Travel Sentry® Approved locking latches support repeated travel and deployment.

Waterproof construction does not mean the case is suitable for every submersion depth, duration, or regulated environment.
