Rotomolded Rack Case for Transportation and Deployment

The rotomolded exterior shell helps protect the isolated rack system during repeated handling, transportation, storage, and deployment. The 10U internal rack provides approximately 17.5 inches of usable vertical mounting height and approximately 29.75 inches between the front and rear equipment rails.

Each lid provides approximately 4.5 inches of internal depth. The available distance from the front rail to the rear lid and from the rear rail to the front lid is approximately 34.5 inches, providing additional clearance for compatible connectors, cable bends, controls, handles, strain relief, and other equipment projections.

The compound-hinged lids can lie flat against the case body or be removed when unobstructed access is required. Compatible SKB shock racks can also be opened from the front and rear while stacked, supporting upright equipment access and deployment.

Recessed, field-replaceable latches secure the front and rear lids while reducing unnecessary projections from the exterior. The case measures approximately 42 × 27.25 × 26.75 inches and has an empty product weight of approximately 92.5 pounds. The removable casters add approximately 4.5 inches to the overall operating height when installed.

An automatic ambient pressure-relief valve helps equalize pressure changes caused by altitude and transportation conditions. Gasketed lids and water-resistant construction help limit environmental exposure when the case is correctly closed and secured.

Water-resistant construction should not automatically be interpreted as waterproof or submersible protection. Confirm any required ingress-protection, environmental, military, transportation, or performance standard before specifying the case for a regulated application.
