Compact Rotomolded Rack Case for Shallow Equipment

The SKB 1SKB-R2S is designed for shallow rack-mounted equipment that does not require the added depth and exterior size of a full-depth rack case. Its two-unit configuration provides approximately 3.5 inches of usable vertical rack space for compatible standard 19-inch components.

The case provides approximately 10.38 inches of rackable depth and approximately 12.25 inches between the front rail and back lid. The complete installed equipment dimensions must include the chassis, mounting hardware, front controls, rear connectors, cable bends, strain relief, and any other projections.

Front and rear rack rails allow compatible equipment to be mounted and supported according to the equipment manufacturer’s requirements. Rackmount clips and mounting hardware are supplied for secure front or rear installation.

Front and rear gasketed covers can be removed for equipment setup, operation, inspection, and cable access. The gasketed closures help limit environmental exposure when both covers are correctly installed and secured.

The exterior incorporates recessed steel Mil-Spec black twist latches, heavy-duty flush-mounted handles, interlocking stacking ribs, and shock-absorbing rubber feet. These features help the case remain compact, stackable, and manageable during repeated transportation and storage.

Gasketed construction should not automatically be interpreted as waterproof or submersible protection.
