Forklift and Pallet-Jack Access for SKB 3R Cases

Large protective cases can become difficult to reposition after heavy equipment is loaded inside. The SKB 3R-FLRK raises the case body to provide approximately 4 inches of under-case clearance, allowing suitable forklift forks or pallet-jack components to reach beneath the case.

This configuration can support more efficient handling during equipment staging, loading, unloading, storage, deployment, and repeated transport. The 500-pound maximum capacity applies to the installed riser assembly and should not be interpreted as increasing the rated capacity of the case itself.

Compatibility and Installation Requirements

The 3R-FLRK is designed to bolt onto compatible SKB 3R Series rotomolded cases that do not already include edge wheels. Because available mounting locations and existing hardware can vary by model, confirm the exact SKB case number before ordering or modifying the case.

Correct installation requires positioning the four risers, drilling the required mounting holes, and securing the supplied stainless steel fasteners, nylon-insert locking nuts, and EPDM-backed sealing washers. The sealing washers are used to help preserve the case’s watertight construction at the new mounting points.
