The SKB 3i-4217-MPLP is molded of ultra high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin and features a gasketed, waterproof and airtight, submersible design (IP67 and MIL-C-4150J) that is resistant to UV, solvents, fungus, corrosion and impact damage (MIL-STD-810H). Its molded-in hinges, patented "trigger release" latch system, comfortable, snap-down rubber over-molded cushion grip handle, secure stacking, and automatic ambient pressure equalization valve all contribute to its military grade design (MIL-STD-648C).

SKB Cases Lifetime Warranty

SKB brand hardshell cases are fully warranted against defects in materials and craftsmanship for the life of the case to the original owner. That means, if your case breaks, SKB will supply replacement parts, repair the case, or replace your case for as long as you own it. Proof of Purchase is required for all warranty claims. Electronic components in SKB brand hardshell pedalboard systems are warranted for five years from date of purchase. Soft cases and gig bags are warranted for one year from date of purchase. SKB is not responsible for the shipping cost to our facility. However, SKB will cover all of the costs of repairs and/or replacements, as well as the return shipping. To request a return authorization for a warranty claim, please contact our Customer Service Department. SKB hardshell cases are warranted for life to the original owner only. Cases used rental purposes, used by institutions or schools, modified or used cases are not covered by this warranty.

SKB Cases Return Policy

Non-modified SKB products may be returned for exchange or refund provided the product is unused, in perfect condition and has the original packing materials.

Accessorized, modified or customized cases are not returnable as they are manufactured to customer specifications. "Customized" is defined as the addition of any option, including but not limited to, hardware, custom foam, non-standard colors, stenciling / labeling, whether included in the product description or itemized by line. If you are unsure whether your case is stock or modified, you are encouraged to ask your salesperson.

Any authorized returns must have a pre-issued RMA number - call or email Customer Service for instructions. Requests for an RMA number must be received within seven (7) days of receipt of goods, with the exception of Warranty claims. All returned products must be properly packaged to prevent damage, in the original shipping container, and must be received by the factory within (25) days of the original delivery date.

Any approved return must be received in NEW condition and may be subject to a restocking fee, at the discretion of the manufacturer. Shipping charges are not refundable, and return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer (except warranty returns).

California Proposition 65

You may have heard that everything gives you cancer – if you live in California. The reason is that it is a California state law that requires businesses to provide reasonable warning about the use of any chemicals the state has decided could cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The list of chemicals and substances is extensive - currently totaling approximately 900.

For those consumers who live outside of California, you are not accustomed to seeing Prop 65 Warnings everywhere you go to shop, eat, buy groceries, fix your car, and are even posted at amusement parks.

SKB has been making cases since 1977. We have no reported cases of our products causing harm or danger to anyone. We believe in the safety of our products and we meet all the applicable safety requirements. We are unable to test against the 900+ chemicals listed for Prop 65 and to 100% certainty, and therefore, in an abundance of caution, we have placed the warning on our products to be in compliance with this California regulation. You will also see the Prop 65 warning on products that you buy outside of California, because we are unable to determine our products’ final retail destination.
